Daughter of divorcees, lately I’ve found the life I was born to lead.
Hello. Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.
I wasn’t always this vocal. I found I always came out better at night. But’s there’s just too much daylight to rely on that all the time. This is my little home for now; though Pinterest will always have a special reign in my little kingdom. Here lives my poetry, my art, maybe other things in the future. I’m not too sure just yet.
But I never was too good at wiring about myself, for someone who spends so very much time in their head, I almost wish I were a little more self-centred. It’d make me a more interesting write-up for this page.
If you really want to get to know me best, you shall consider listening to my playlist “S’wicked”. It’s full of gems I promise! But even song on there captures that atmosphere I’m still so desperate to articulate. When it was fall of 2012. And when it was fall of 2015, but I was so focused on missing that fall of 2012 that I didn’t see the fall happening right in front of me.
Those songs are my childhood, though many of them did not come out until a decade after my childhood. Nonetheless, they’re there if you want them. I fear that will be most of my life. Chasing something that you just can never get back to. Buildings have been renovated, playgrounds have been burnt down, and lighting isn’t as amber as it used to. But sometimes the sunlight shines in such a distinct way, I know I’m not as crazy as I seem to believe that I had lived those moments. God, it’s so difficult to fight for the cold, hard proof of something you know existed once but no longer does.
I've felt that way in love a lot. It's what inspired me to create this blog. Tumblr was the home I missed out on. I'm far too old for TikTok. And I'm far too young for FaceBook.
This is my little corner of the internet for now, I truly am not sure if this relic will ever even be sought after. I do not know if there will be a search for higher ground. I do not know much of anything at all.
So take me as I am, these are my reigns.
I hope you enjoy your stay.
With gratitude,
Jaydan McLeod
